Shave and exfoliate well prior to your airbrush tanning session. The process of exfoliation will remove any dead skin cells from the outermost layer of your skin and will provide the best canvas for the tanning solution to penetrate and develop evenly.  Using an exfoliating body scrub or body brush will help in the exfoliation process.

Any waxing should be done 1-2 days prior to your tan; the wax may leave behind a residue that can act as a barrier to the DHA in the tanning solution.

Try to avoid using any heavy body lotions, sprays or deodorant before your session.  If you prefer, lightly dab some deodorant on rather then rubbing it on heavy. Residue from deodorant or other products used on the skin can cause a discoloration of the tanning solution, however this is a discoloration of the temporary bronzer only, and will be resolved following your first shower.

On the day of your appointment it is up to you whether you want to tan with no tan lines or in a bikini.  Following your spray tan wear loose-fitting dark colored clothing. Some of the product may rub off but this is only the cosmetic bronzer- so not to worry! It does not stain and easily washes off.  Your tan that is developing underneath from the interaction of the DHA will not be affected!
